Grow In Faith

Bearing Burdens & Reaping What We Sow Galatians Pt. 31

Christ Church IL Season 12 Episode 31

As we near the end of our study in Galatians, Paul’s message becomes intensely practical: "Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ" (Galatians 6:2). In this passage, we’re reminded that Christian community isn’t just about encouragement—it’s about willingly entering into the struggles of others, even when it costs us something.

But Paul doesn’t stop there. He delivers a sobering truth: "Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows" (Galatians 6:7). While salvation is by grace alone, our choices still matter—both in this life and in eternity. Sin has consequences, and obedience brings reward. Yet, even as we wrestle with this tension, we find hope in the gospel: Christ has taken our punishment, so we can walk in freedom and faithfulness.

Join us as we reflect on:
🔹 The call to bear one another’s burdens (without burning out)
🔹 The sobering reality of reaping what we sow
🔹 The balance between grace and accountability
🔹 How the gospel transforms our daily choices
